The clutter along the path
I called out to two walkers who were unlucky enough to be approaching from the opposite direction: “Watch out! I’ve dumped a load of trash on the path! Whatever you do, don’t walk in it!”

Morning time. As I strolled through the forest, I called out to two walkers who were unlucky enough to be approaching from the opposite direction:
– Watch out! I’ve dumped a load of trash on the path! Whatever you do, don’t walk in it!
They didn’t quite understand what I was trying to say, so I explained it to them:
– Last night, I was so loaded down with worries about my work that I had a really hard time getting to sleep; this morning, I took all of these anxieties and dumped them along my prayer walk.
They must be thinking something along the lines of:
– He’s a bit of a kooky character…
But instead, they say in unison:
– Is there any place left for us to put down our worries?
Despite my surprise, I calmly replied:
– Yes, God has plenty of space for them! However, once you’ve laid them down, you need to be sure not to make the mistake of picking them up again!
