The iniative unites many evangelical churches in the French capital.

One year after the Charlie Hebdo attacks and 6 weeks after the Paris attacks, many French evangelical churches are calling Christians to put in practice the #PrayForParis hashtag that has been used on the social networks so many times.

31 churches will hold prayer meetings, one for every day of January 2016. The initiative “Prions pour Paris” united dozens of churches and recalls that many wrote #PrayForParis as a “word of hope.”

“What if made this slogan come alive? What if the Lord called us to intercede for the Parisians?”, the group of Christians wrote.

“After the first initiatives in the following days after the attacks in November, the evangelical Protestant churches in the capital, representing the majority of unions of churches, have decided to unite and come before God throughout the month of January 2016.”

31 prayer meetings of prayer for Paris, one each day of the month of January, are planned in different churches.”

Everyone is invited to join one or several of the daily meetings.

The schedule of churches and directions has been posted on the “Prions pour Paris” Facebook profile.
