The International Social Advertising Festival recognized the choir’s “social commitment to the environment” and to those in need through its solidarity concerts.
The Gospel Choir of Madrid, will receive the “Best Gospel group with social action” Award, at the International Social Advertising Festival “Publifestival”.
The organisers of the Festival recognized the choir’s “social commitment to the environment and its strong purpose of transforming reality through an instrument as valuable as music”.
“The choir takes advantage of the most authentic African-American genre to make known the history and the message of those people. It is a message of faith in the midst of uncertainty, of hope in the midst of pain”, the festival pointed out.
Among the different activities of the choir, the promoters of Publifestival highlighted several charity concerts it carried out throughout 2018, to support social projects in favor of the integration of people with physical or intellectual needs.
The choir also collaborates directly with solidarity projects, such as 'Water for Africa', which aims to repair a water well in the city of Monrovia, in Liberia. They will hold a concert for this on June 30th.
The award ceremony will take place on June 25, at a gala to be held at the Teatro Infanta Isabel in Madrid, in a meeting that is one of the dates marked in the calendar of advertising and marketing companies.
