Around 1,000 people attended a united Christmas service in Jaén, a city in the south of Spain.

The large gathering is unusual for a small faith minority like the Spanish evangelicals (who represent less than 1% of the population).

The event filled the Villamarta Theatre, an emblematic cultural centre of the city.

The traditional Christmas celebration unites many churches of Jaén every year, organised by the city’s Fraternity of Evangelical Churches.

Participants sang worship and Christmas songs led by the band Koinonia, and a Bible message was presented by young preacher Itiel Arroyo, who spoke about the theme “how to restore what has been broken”.
