After the earthquake that hit central Italian regions, the Italian Evangelical Alliance mourns the victims who lost their lives in the tragic event and is near to all those who were injured and severely affected by it, their families and communities.

As it happened in similar circumstances in the past, the Alliance is immediately active in contributing to relief work and to coordinate its work with evangelical agencies with experience in dealing with natural disasters, both national and international ones.

The Alliance invites all evangelical churches and believers to pray that this time of sorrow and tragedy may also be a time of consolation, repentance and conversion.

Those who wish to contribute to relief work can send their gift to

EUROPEAN EVANGELICAL ALLIANCE

Message of solidarity of the European Evangelical Alliance:

Dear Italian friends, we know the speed with which you are used to respond to emergencies and to disasters in your territory. We pray for you, knowing that you active in service to those who are suffering as a result of today's earthquake. God bless your work and make you be a reference in relief and hope in Jesus Christ.

SPANISH EVANGELICAL ALLIANCE

Other neighbours like the Spanish evangelicals also reacted to the earthquake.

Dear brothers of the Italian EA,

We have been deeply moved this morning when we have seen the effects of the earthquake in some cities of the centre of Italy. Our prayers are for those who have suffered loss of lives among their beloved and loss of their essentials. We would also offer our support if you think that we can be helpful in practical ways.

May God show his mercy to all who suffer and grieve.

Jaume Llenas, General Secretrary, Spanish Evangelical Alliance
