Which of these online initiatives should churches prioritise?




Pablo Martínez

Author, international Speaker, Psychiatrist.

Dr Pablo Martinez is a medical doctor and Psychiatrist working currently at a private practice in Barcelona. He has also developed a wide ministry as a lecturer, counselor, and itinerant speaker. He has been a plenary Bible teacher in more than 30 countries in Europe and America. r. He has many ties to the world of university, serving as the chairman of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (GBU) in Spain for eight years. He has also served as the chairman of the Spanish Evangelical Alliance for ten years (1999-2009). Martínez was a member of the Executive Committee of the International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICMDA) for 20 years (1986-2006), also serving as one of the organisation's vice-presidents. He has been Professor of Pastoral Psychology at the Spanish Theological Seminary for seven years. He was one of the founding members of the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity where he served as a Committee member for eight years. He is currently one of the leaders of the European Christian Counselors Network, a body connected to the European Leadership Forum where Dr. Martinez serves as a member of the steering committee. He is also a member of the Authorisation Team of the European Evangelical Alliance , and the current president in Spain of the “Ravi Zacharias Foundation for the Dialogue between Faith and Culture”. Martínez has authored three widely read books: - Praying with the grain: How Your Personality Affects the Way You Pray, Monarch Books (Oxford UK &Grand Rapids, Michigan), 2012, now published in fourteen languages. - Tracing the Rainbow: Walking Through Loss and Bereavement, Authentic Media/Spring Harvest, 2004 - A Thorn in the Flesh: Finding strength and hope amid suffering, Inter Varsity Press, England, 2007. His last writing is a contribution to “Why I am not an atheist: facing the inadequacies of unbelief (Edited by D. J. Randall, Christian Focus Publications, Scotland,2013). Pablo is married to Marta, also a medical doctor. Birdwatching and reading are two of his main hobbies.
