Peter May is a retired medical doctor. After being a staff worker for UCCF, he practised as a family doctor for 30 years in Southampton, while developing the idea of persuasive evangelism and publishing “Dialogue in Evangelism” (Grove Books) in 1990. For 25 years, he was an elected lay member of Church of England’s General Synod and served on its Board of Mission. In retirement, he chaired UCCF’s Trust Board through a process of restructuring and started UCCF’s apologetics website ‘Bethinking.org’. Married to Heather, they have four children and 13 grandchildren.
