Everton Jackson has served as Director of Integral Mission for the Baptist World Alliance since July 2020. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica but grew up in Hanover. Jackson has also filled numerous ministry positions at the local, national, and international level. As a strong advocate for ecumenism, Jackson served as a member of the Jamaica Council of Churches from 2000–2002 and numerous Ministers’ Fraternal Bodies across Jamaica. He has also served as Chairman of the Western Peace Management Initiative, Jamaica from 2005–2020 and as a Commissioner on the Jamaican government’s Commission on Violence Prevention from 2009–2020. Jackson gained his theological education at the United Theological College of the West Indies with BA (Hons) and MA from the University of the West Indies.
