Bert de Ruiter is Consultant Christian-Muslim relations with Operation Mobilization and the European Evangelical Alliance. He is also visiting faculty member of Tyndale Theological Seminary. He has been involved in Christian-Muslim relations in Europe for more than 30 years. He got an MA and a D.Min. in Christian-Muslim relations. He has authored two books: "A Single Hand cannot applaud" and "Sharing Lives”. He edited the book Engaging with Muslims in Europe. He has written a course, called Sharing Lives, to help Christians can overcome their fear of Islam and learn to share their lives with Muslims. The course is translated in 12 languages. Bert lives in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is married and has two children and four grandchildren.
