Next Saturday, October 23, the Forum of Christian Leaders (FOCL) will hold the second of the three master classes it has planned for this autumn. As in previous occasions, registration is free and available for all.
“Healthy Christian Life” is the title of the 3-hour-long (15.00 – 18.00 London Time) master class offered by Mike Betts, head of Relational Mission, a network of churches which is part of the global Newfrontiers family.
“Many of us have been Christians for years, but could we identify the markers of what makes a healthy Christian...healthy? Can we identify the characteristics of a healthy church?”, asks the FOCL in the presentation of the master class in its website.
They stress that “Mike Betts will give us an overview of the New Testament model of the Christian an church) life”, explaining that it is “vital for seeing believers thrive today”.
“By the end of this master class, you will hopefully walk away with a better idea of not only what it means to live a life focused on God, but how to live that life as part of a local church”, concluded the FOCL.
In 2011, Betts began to lead the network that is now Relational Mission, which works predominantly in the UK and mainland Europe, but with growing connections across the world. Its network includes some 75 churches of which 30 are church plant and pioneering situations.
The class will be held by Zoom and include time for questions and answers. Participants will be able to join from home or in groups from church settings.
There will be one more master class in this format on 13 November, offered by Andrew Fellows (Director of Apologetics for Christian Heritage) titled “Smuggling Jesus Back into the Church”.
The FOCL also organises the annual European Leadership Forum conference in Wisla, Poland.
