A street preacher was wrongfully detained and won £15,000 in damages and legal costs, but the police logged in a 'non-crime hate incident report' against him.

Pastor Oluwole Ilesanmi had his Bible taken away and was arrested. Over 45,000 have signed a petition, asking authorities to protect freedom of speech for preachers.

Both were arrested in the UK after being accused of using “homophobic language.” One of them has been preaching publicly for more than 11 years.
