Aglow Spain celebrated its second national congress near Barcelona on April 13-15, under the motto “Unlimited in favor, power and majesty”.
More than 700 women from across the country filled the auditorum where the event took place, in the Catalan city of Cornellà de Llobregat.
“UNLIMITED IN FAVOR, POWER AND MAJESTY”
The main speakers were the Portuguese Sara Catarino and Rebeca Jacob from Madrid.
“They have encouraged the participants to lift their faces, not looking at the Earth where the burdens and worries of this evil century can distract us from our true objective, which is to do His work, with the joy of God. A God whose power, favor and majesty over the lives of the believers is unlimited”, said the national coordinator of Aglow, Ana Giménez.
Other speaker were Malú Cardona, who spoke about internal healing, and Jaume Llenas, Secretary General of the Spanish Evangelical Alliance, who talked about the church focused on the mission.
“A WOMAN WITH A SPIRITUAL VISION”
One of the most emotional moments of the event was the farewell of Raquel Rey, who left her position as vice-coordinator in the national board.
Rey, who during the congress also gave a talk on the baptism of the Holy Spirit, will continue to be in Aglow as president of the Barcelona board. “She is a strong woman, with a spiritual vision that has contributed very nuch to the Aglow project in Spain”, Gimenez pointed out.
“WE APPRECIATE THE HUNGER FOR THE LORD”
During the conference, there was space for young people, through the workshops led by Kari Clewett and with a performance by the Impact group of JCUM (Youth With a Mission in Spanish).
The worship times were led by singer of the Christian rock group Sal 150, Rosa Burguera, and the group "Adoremos".
“The event ended with an extraordinary atmosphere. We appreciate the hunger for the Lord (...) with extraordinary joy from the Lord”, Giménez concluded.
