Christians and gun control: What’s your opinion?
What do Christians think? Is there a biblical position to be defended?

The death of nine people in the attack against Charleston’s Emmanuel Methodist church last week highlighted once again the ongoing debate about gun-violence should be stopped.
USA’s president Obama has been vocal about his will to change the Constitution, but not only the Rifle Association opposes his ideas, many citizens in the country also do so.
In Europe the proliferation of guns in the public space is almost inexistent, and a majority of countries see the USA model as old and dangerous.
But what do Christians think? Is there a Christian position to be defended?
Can it be argued that banning the use of arms is an attack against the citizens’ liberties? Is there a clear gospel approach which would lead us to ban guns?
Can we have a biblical position about this topic?
