The Civil Guard of Fuerteventura ( the Canary Islands, Spain) has publicly recognised the local evangelical church Modern Christian Mission.

In an emotional event, the Commander in Chief of the Company of Puerto Rosario (capital of Fuerteventura) recognized the work of the church in the person of his pastor, Angel Manuel Hernández Gutiérrez.

The pastor received a diploma during the event.

They highlighted the social work of the church in the island, which includes foster homes, soup kitchens, assistance to immigrants and marginalized people, and many other activities, which made the church an entity of public interest.

They have given the pastor a diploma which said that he is "a friend of our Institution" because of his "affection and respect towards the members of the Civil Guard", along with his "human and professional values, honesty and determination".
