The Christian media initiative Bibel TV (Bible TV) has launched a national faith campaign all across Germany, called ‘Die Erinnerung 2026’ (The Memory 2026), to draw public attention to the question of God and faith.

“With this campaign, 30,000 large-scale posters in both major cities and smaller communities ensure that every citizen has a chance to see the message”, says Kai-Marcus Thäsler, managing director of the Outdoor Advertising Association.

The posters feature questions such as “Someone is very excited about you”, “How can you find love?” or “Is there anyone out there who likes me for who I am?”, among others. They all end with the slogan “More at your church and on Bibel TV”.

Alongside the posters, targeted online advertisements for social media channels and traditional media have been released, as well as flyers and postcards.

Conversations about God

According to the promoters, the aim is “to remind as many people in Germany as possible about the question of God and to invite them to take a first – or new – step into a local church, expressly as a service to all Christian denominations and congregations”.

Bibel TV also seeks to “raise public awareness of faith issues and bring denominations together”.

“God should be a topic of conversation again, in churches and congregations, Christian organisations, but also in personal conversations between people in everyday life, across all denominations”, they underline.

Local churches and cogregations

Furthermore, Bibel TV encourages churches, congregations and Christian organisations to take advantage of the attention generated, to add to it with their own initiatives, and to pray for the campaign.

To this end, the broadcaster is providing digital templates for posters, flyers and advertisements that can be adapted locally. “Your places of faith are spaces where people can find genuine encounter, companionship and answers. Use the campaign as a door opener”, they say.

“We warmly invite all Christians and congregations to use this campaign, which is financed by thousands of supporters, as a starting point for conversation. Neighbours, work colleagues and friends will also see the posters, making it easy to talk about God”, points out Matthias Brender, head of Bibel TV.

Bibel TV
