FOCL · 05 NOVEMBER 2021 · 18:55 CET
The Forum of Christian Leaders (FOCL) will hold the third of the master classes it had planned for this autumn, next Saturday, November 13.
As in previous occasions, registration is free and available for all.
They invite Christians worldwide to join Director of Apologetics for Christian Heritage, Andrew Fellows for his 3-hour-long (15.00 – 18.00 London Time) free master class: “Smuggling Jesus back into the Church: How the Church became worldly and what to do about it”.
“At the very moment the church is becoming worldly and we are neglecting this key biblical concept. So, what is worldliness and how does it happen?”, says the FOCL in the presentation of the master class in its website.
They stress that “in this Master Class, we will diagnose the different forms of worldliness that exist today. As we highlight the dangers for the church, we will examine how Christ provides the remedy”.
Furthermore, it will address the following 5 topics:
- What Does It Really Mean to Be Worldly?
- Living in a Disordered Trust: the Egoism Trap
- Existing in a Disordered Vision: the Influence of Naturalism
- Desiring with a Disordered Affection: the Seduction of Hedonism
- The Pressure of a Disordered Allegiance: the Coercion of the New Moralism
The class will be held by Zoom and include time for questions and answers. Participants will be able to join from home or in groups from church settings.
The FOCL also organises the annual European Leadership Forum conference in Wisla, Poland.
