On the 24th of December the Evangelical Christmas service was broadcast, as every year, during the special program Buenas Noticias TV (Good News), the space of the evangelical churches on the Spanish public television.
Through Christmas songs, some traditional and others more modern, the worship group of the evangelical church Peniel in Madrid proclaimed the blessings of the birth of Christ.
The group of children also had a musical participation and the youth group performed a play, funny and with a deep message, explaining what is not Christmas.
Afterwards, the pastor of the church, Julio Ortega, spoke about the relevance of Jesus' coming into the world and the reasons for believing that He is who He said He is, as well as the transforming power He offers through His sacrifice on the cross.
The director of Buenas Noticias TV, Esteban Lozano, encouraged the evangelical people of Spain to announce this celebration to family members, neighbours, friends or colleagues at work and school.
At a time of tension, uncertainty and fear, the Gospel message of peace and comfort seeks to enter millions and millions of homes across the country.
