Registration is now open for the annual European Leadership Forum (ELF). The upcoming meeting will take place 25-30 May 2024 in Wisła, Poland.
As in previous editions, the ELF offers scholarships for participants from Southern and Eastern Europe. But for the first time, there is a discounted, scholarship rate for Christian leaders from Western Europe as well.
An early registration discount is available to those who apply to attend the Forum by 22 September.
The mission of the European Leadership Forum is to unite, equip, and resource evangelical leaders to renew the biblical church and evangelise Europe. This invitation-only gathering brings together hundreds of evangelical Christian leaders from across Europe for specialised training, mentoring, resource sharing, and networking.
800 leaders are expected to attend to the 2024 edition. Over 750 attended last year’s edition (read the report by Evangelical Focus here).
René Breuel, author and pastor in Rome, will be the Bible expositor at the 2024 ELF conference.
The 2024 Forum’s morning Bible teacher will be René Breuel, lead pastor of Hopera in Rome, Italy. Evening plenary speakers will be John Dickson (Jean Kvamme Distinguished Professor of Biblical Studies and Public Christianity, Wheaton College), Roland Werner (Professor of Theology in a Global Context, Tabor Evangelical University), Sharon Dirckx (Speaker, Author, and Apologist, Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics), and Dave Patty (President, Josiah Venture).
An “oasis” to learn from other Christian leaders
“I deeply believe that the Lord brought me to the Forum not only to renew me and prepare me for the future”, writes Angela Bosnjak, youth ministry leader in Bosnia-Herzegovina, “but to give me a remarkable opportunity to learn from older, more experienced Christian workers in different fields. Participating and meeting new people who share the same passion for reaching young people for Christ is an incredible joy and encouragement”.
“ELF is a real blessing, like an oasis in a desert”, said Ovidiu Hanc, a pastor and professor in Romania. “It is a place of spiritual refreshment and growing closer to God. Being involved in full-time ministry in both pastoral and academic life is something that is very difficult. In this context, ELF has been a blessing because it provides the spiritual equipment and input needed for everyone involved in full-time ministry”.
“Being at the European Leadership Forum is a really joyful experience for me, as I can see the bigger picture of what God is doing in Europe and the world”, says Tomas Coufal, Editor-in-chief of a Czech Christian magazine. “I believe God is doing great things in my country – and will do even bigger things in the future”.
Networks, one-to-one mentoring, seminars, the ‘Expo’
ELF participants are grouped into educational communities called Networks, which focus on such diverse areas as Bible teaching, youth ministry, organisational leadership, evangelism, discipleship, science, counselling, the arts, politics and media.
Additionally, an ‘Expo’ connects attendees with dozens of Christian organisations and universities working on the field.
One-on-one personal mentoring sessions at ELF and during the year give participants an opportunity to speak to experienced leaders in various fields of ministry. Special year-round mentoring allows many participants to receive training over the course of a year through small group webinars and an in-person retreat.
