God is using social media to reach His people
Beneath the noise of social media, many young people are searching for meaning, purpose, and truth. They are looking for guidance on what it means to follow Jesus in a tangible way.

It will never stop amazing me that God is interested in, and able to, use social media to proclaim the Gospel.
While many Christians view social media primarily as a distraction or a source of negativity, it is increasingly becoming a place where people encounter truth, ask spiritual questions, and begin exploring faith.
For Generation Z in particular, the digital world is not separate from everyday life; it is woven into it. A research shows that 99% of 16–25-year-olds in the UK use social media daily.

For many young people, social media functions as a primary source of information, community, and discovery. If this is where people are spending their time, it should not surprise us that God is also choosing to meet people there.
A modern mission field
Throughout history, Christians have used the communication tools available to them to share the Gospel. The Apostle Paul used letters. Reformers used the printing press. Evangelists embraced radio and television.
Today, social media has become one of the most powerful communication tools ever created.
A single video can reach thousands, or even millions, of people within hours. The scale of that reach is unprecedented.
Content shared from a bedroom in London can be viewed by someone in South Africa, Brazil, or South Korea within seconds. While technology itself is neutral, it can become a powerful instrument when placed in God's hands.
Social media is often described as a dark space, filled with comparison, division, and endless distractions. Yet Scripture reminds us that light shines brightest in darkness.
This is one reason I am passionate about creating content that glorifies Christ. The online world does not need fewer Christian voices, it needs more!
A generation that is searching
One of the most encouraging trends I have observed as a Christian content creator is the curiosity of young people. Many are not hostile toward faith; they are simply looking for answers.
The questions I receive are often surprisingly practical: How do I read my Bible? How do I pray? How do I hear God's voice? How do I include Jesus in my everyday life?
These questions reveal something significant. Beneath the noise of social media, many young people are searching for meaning, purpose, and truth. They are looking for guidance on what it means to follow Jesus in a tangible way.
Recent studies across Europe have suggested a growing openness among Gen Z towards spirituality and Christianity.
While church attendance may not always reflect it, there is a renewed curiosity about faith and a willingness to engage in conversations about God. Social media has become one of the places where those conversations are happening.
Encouraging people toward the Word
The comments that impact me most are not the ones praising a video or celebrating a milestone. They are the messages from young women who tell me they have started reading their Bible because of something they watched online.
Ultimately, Christian content creators are not called to build audiences; we are called to point people to Jesus. The goal is not that people become dependent on our content, but that they become hungry for God's Word themselves.
That is why social media matters. It provides opportunities for seeds to be planted.
A thirty-second video may not transform a life on its own, but it can spark a question, encourage a search, or point someone towards Scripture.
God often uses small moments to begin significant journeys.
Looking ahead
Social media is not the future of the Church, but it is undoubtedly part of the Church's mission field. As more of life moves online, Christians have an opportunity, and perhaps a responsibility, to be present in those spaces.
God has always used ordinary people and contemporary tools to reach others with the Gospel. Today, one of those tools is social media.
Rather than dismissing it, we should ask how it can be stewarded faithfully for His glory. Because behind every view, like, comment, and share is a real person. And every person matters deeply to God!
