Chris has a background in economics and management: his first degree was in Economic History at York University, followed by a masters degree in Development Studies at Cambridge. After graduating he worked in London as a management consultant before he and his wife were called to mission. He was awarded the BA in Applied Theology after spending two years studying at Redcliffe, time which he considers to have been the ideal preparation for working cross-culturally. From 2007-2014 he and his family served in Moldova, working alongside local churches and encouraging them in mission, evangelism, youthwork and community transformation. During this time he completed the MA in Contemporary Issues in Global Mission through Redcliffe’s MA Summer School. Chris joined the Redcliffe faculty in September 2014, initially teaching undergraduate courses such as Leadership in Life and Ministry, Justice and Mission, Teamworking, and a missional Introduction to the New Testament. Since 2015 Chris has been Module Coordinator for several MA courses: Global Missiological Issues in Intercultural Contexts, Advocacy, Reconciliation and Peace-Building in Intercultural Contexts, and Just Mission: Justice Issues in Intercultural Contexts.
