Prof. Dr. Janet Epp Buckingham lives in Ottawa, Canada and serves as the Director of Global Advocacy for the World Evangelical Alliance. Janet previously served as Director for Law and Public Policy with the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (1999-2006). She is a Professor Emerita at Trinity Western University, in British Columbia, Canada, with expertise in religious freedom, having served as a professor from 2006-2021. She published a book on the history of religious freedom in Canada, Fighting over God, in 2014. Janet is the executive editor of the International Journal of Religious Freedom, published by the WEA International Institute for Religious Freedom.
