The Christian Center in Brașov, Romania, hosted the UNIK Conference, which aims to put an emphasis on the need for unity in the Body of Christ.

The idea for this conference came within a group of Christian leaders who met on a regular basis to pray and encourage each other.

According to Dani Rusu, pastor of the Christian Center, the pastors of the organizing partner churches felt strongly it was time to do something together, and to express that unity they have as pastors, along with their churches.

Fănel Șerban, pastor of Point Zero church, explained that their diversity was what inspired the name of the conference, because, although each church, minister, pastor and member in their churches is unique, they are united in their diversity and they managed to come together and glorify the same Lord.

Establishing new relationships

There used to be a great gap between the non-denominational churches in Brașov, but the UNIK Conference is considered to be a good start in establishing new relationships.

“It is a historical event, where about twelve churches of Brașov, have come together and put aside our different opinions. This doesn’t mean we dropped them, we just went on together with the good things. Only one thing keeps us in unity, one Lord, Jesus Christ, and one Word, the Word of God”, Răzvan Stavilă, pastor of Point Zero church, told Alfa Omega TV.

Unity, revelation, relationships and spiritual growth

The conference speakers were British musician, author and teacher, David Fellingham and senior pastor of A Casa Da Cidade church in Lisbon, Joao Martins, who spoke about unity, revelation, the importance of relationships and spiritual growth.

For the participants, the event was a blessing and represented a challenge to overcome barriers.

“If we work in unity and if we are one in our thoughts and our walk with Jesus, then the Holy Spirit will manifest with greater power and a whole lot more within us”, said Lăcrămioara Burne, a member of Christian Center.

A starting point

The conference also represents a starting point for a ministry that may expand in churches all over the country.

“We want this UNIK Conference 2023 to be the start of a ministry for many years to come, that will be an influence not only locally, but in every county and why not, all over the country”, pointed out Șerban.

Cătălin Baciu, pastor of the 43 church in Bucharest, congratulate pastors in Brașov for “left behind the past, came together and do something wonderful together for this city”.

“Unity is not just a great thing to have, it is what is necessary in the Kingdom. It’s not just a nice thing. It is vital and powerful! It is hard to achieve it because we are different and we can be easily wounded. But it’s happening now”, he added.
