International Prayer Connect and Ensemble 2024, along with National Council of Evangelicals of France (CNEF) and the Protestant Federation of France, have created the campaign Love France with the initiative France 1 Million.

Love France “represents an informal coalition of church, prayer and mission organizations across France, and internationally, to keep the worldwide Church informed as to what’s happening during the Olympics, as you pray”.

They got a million prayers in the Tokyo Games back in 2021 and “the impact of this legacy continues across Japan”, and now hope to achieve that the same amount of people will “click the page to bless, celebrate and connect”.

Prayer Guide

They have developed a Prayer Guide for 50 days, with daily briefings that contain focused prayer pointers to pray for France; the safety and success of the games; for the Church and for the for the over 500 different evangelistic events taking place throughout the Olympics.

It is available online in 33 languages, with several translations downloadable as PDFs. There are also online posts, videos and other resources, including a lively blog.

The Paris Praise festival

In addition to this project, from 28 July to 4 August, Christian artists and volunteers from France, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the United States will gather in Paris for the Paris Praise festival, “to inspire people in several churches and public squares in Paris and its surrounding areas”.

There will be activities such as an art and calligraphy exhibition, a dance workshop with the youth ministry team from South Korea, and many artists will be busking and inviting people on the streets to the evening praise concerts, including a South Korean Olympic table tennis champion will be part of the team.
