The Federation of Evangelical Religious Entities of Spain (FEREDE) issued a statement on Wednesday expressing the “most heartfelt condolences from the Spanish Evangelical community to the families and friends of the victims of the tragic aerial accident which happened yesterday in the French Alps.”

“We unite, with emotion, with the grief and the sorrow of all Spanish and European citizens who are mourning the irreparable loss of so many human lives, and we unite in prayer with Christians all around the world who plead to him who suffered on the Cross of Calvary the reality of human suffering, that He may give consolation and peace for so many wounded hearts affected”, FEREDE added.

The statement says that evangelicals in Spain are praying that the “authorities and investigators of the causes of the accident may be able to conclude their task as soon as possible, to reduce the time of agony and uncertainity of the families of the victims.”
