The working group on disability of the German Evangelical Alliance (EAD) summarised the ideas shared on a forum organised between 17 and 20 October in Berlin.

‘Perceiving each other, creating and experiencing meeting spaces’ was the theme for the Disability Perspective Forum.

The goals achieved during the conference, said Heidi Rumple, included “perceiving each other with different disabilities and finding common ground, tracking down politicians in the Bundestag”, the German federal parliament.

There was also time of “looking at art and listening to music, experiencing historical places and praising and thanking God together”.

Reinhardt Schink of the EAD board, said the forum on disability is “an example of how inclusion works in practice and how valuable this is for everyone involved personally and for us as a society as a whole”.
