The Congress of the Argentinian province of Neuquén passed a Bill establishing 31 October as the Provincial Day of Evangelical Churches.

The Bill, which was presented by the Frente de Todos (Everybody's Front ) coalition, points out that on that date the Protestant Reformation day is remembered, which occurred on 31 October 1517, when the Augustinian monk Martin Luther nailed a proposal to the doors of the church in Wittenberg (Germany) to debate the doctrine and practice of indulgences..

“We believe it was important to give public recognition and support to the evangelical churches that are doing essential work in our province and our country”, said provincial deputy Darío Peralta.

He stressed that the Congress was “happy to highlight their work and make it visible by recognising them and declaring October 31 as the day of the evangelical churches in our province .
