German IT engineers are mounting lights, cameras, and computers in preparation for the Lausanne Europe Online Gathering which will be held from 17-20th November.

At the same time, some 1,100 evangelical leaders in some 40 countries are setting up their profiles on an IT platform that will enable them to participate in the conference coming to them from the Southampton Lighthouse International Church in the United Kingdom.

The IT platform called “Scoocs” will almost give the delegates a sense of attending a physical conference, as they can choose which of the 70 seminars they want to attend, and who to network with afterwards. They can even have lunch with a favorite speaker.

Evangelical Bible expositors Chris Wright, Hélder Favarin, Anne Zaki, and Adam Szumorek, will dive into Paul´s letter to the Philippians.

Connie Duarte, Maia Inbar and Israel Olofinjana will share experiences from listening to “muted” and marginalized voices.

The chair of the Lausanne Europe Online Gathering Lars Dahle says that migration into Europe from the Majority World has had a profound impact on the continent and represents both a challenge and an opportunity for mission and evangelism.

Samuel Cueva and Henry Lu will provide insights into diaspora churches and Luke Greenwood and Sarah Breuel will report on what happens when young secular adults are introduced to the dynamic gospel.

Other seminars will wrestle with issues like climate change and the attack on Christian family values.
